some helpful tips for your telemedicine visit on doxy.me
We are pleased to be able to offer scheduled telemedicine visits from the safety and comfort of your own home through Doxy.Me.
HOW TO PREPARE:
- Make sure that you have access to a computer OR device with camera AND a microphone (e.g. smartphone, tablet, etc). Please check the Doxy.Me instructional handout (SEE BELOW) for browser and platform requirements.
- Record your height and weight prior to the visit.
- Have the following items on hand:
- Thermometer (if available)
- Blood pressure cuff (if available)
- Flashlight
- A complete list of your current medications and allergies
- Pharmacy information
- Check in 5 -10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. Use the link provided (SCROLL BELOW TO LOCATE) to check into the appropriate physician's virtual waiting room.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
- Please allow for a 30 minute window from your scheduled appointment time to start your visit with the physician in case of potential delays.
- A limited physical exam will be performed as appropriate during the scheduled telemedicine visit.
- If warranted, you may be asked to schedule an in-office follow-up visit based upon the physician's discretion depending on the reason and nature of the initial visit.
- The telemedicine visit will be billed to your insurance company. Co-payment or coinsurance may apply to this service.
